Our product has evolved, but our mission continues to be focused on empowering workers and transforming the way people work. Our technology was born out of staffing and built on a deep understanding of the needs of our clients and workers.
Back in 2014 working in the hospitality industry having to source temporary staff, we asked a simple question: Why has the method of temporary staffing never evolved and still an archaic process, and In an era filled with technology and advancements, why is there no practical system for finding top-rated, effective professionals to provide local temporary work?
Meanwhile, we saw a growing segment of frontline workers, often part-time or unemployed, struggling to find additional work and make ends meet around their busy schedules. Some already had the right skillsets to get the job done, others had the capability to quickly learn.
The convergence of these two insights began our journey to not only create a smarter way to match supply and demand but to redefine the pool of talent available to get work done.
So we set out to build the easiest, most convenient scalable technology-driven solution for staffing issues. Whether it be to fill in a staffing gap, or you simply don’t have enough hired on employees to get the job done, we launched the Gig Assist web and mobile app which connects hourly workers with available shifts.
Brock Hegr is the founder and CEO of Gig Assist and is responsible for the strategic direction and daily operations of the business.
He’s spent over 10 years leading the growth and development of a number of successful enterprises honing his ability to move a concept into reality with dramatic results.
Prior to founding Gig Assist, Brock established Hegr Hospitality, a full-service marketing and consulting agency specializing in advanced solutions within the hospitality industry. He’s held various executive and leadership roles within businesses such as Ruth's Chris and Wolfgang Puck, as well as planned and executed large annual gatherings, presidential fundraisers and high profile galas receiving numerous awards and industry recognition for his work.
